Dazhong Fried Dumplings

Update: as indicator by a commenter below, Dazhong Fried Dumplings has sadly closed. We do not know of another location in Chengdu but will update the location when and if that information becomes available.

Dazhong Fried Dumplings  (大中煎饺 in Chinese) is a small dumpling restaurant with two locations in Chengdu. This one is the Tongzilin neighborhood in the South of the city, across the street from Carrefour on Xinguang Road. Aside from fried dumplings which are referenced in the name of the restaurant, Dazhong is one of the few places in Chengdu that you can get authentic Vietnamese pho noodle soup (called in this restaurant 越南生牛肉河粉).

The restaurant has some ties to Chinese immigration in the United States, which can be read about on walls inside the restaurant alongside photos of Chinatown in San Francisco.
