Nuhi’s Deli

Update: as of early 2016, Nuhi’s Deli has closed. In the same space now is sandwich shop Munchwich.

Located in the same space occupied by Swedish coffee shop Kafe Stugan for years, Nuhi’s Deli is a Dutch-owned and managed restaurant that opened in the summer of 2014.  Nuhi’s specializes in European-quality daily fresh breads, a variety of cakes and cookies, as well as homemade ice creams as well as sliced cold-cuts, quality cheeses flown in from Europe and other fine foods and wines.

In the words of Nuhi, the deli’s proprietor: “We feature a simple but well executed Italian menu in which we’ll reserve space for Kaffestugan’s signature dishes and hand dripped coffees. We’ll have classic Napolitana-style pizzas and focaccias, homemade pasta, fresh salads and the city’s best sandwiches and desserts to dine in, take-out, or – in due time – have delivered to your home or office,” he adds. “We’ll redecorate and introduce the new name, reflecting its transformation to Chengdu’s finest deli where you can enjoy rustic food in a rustic atmosphere.”

    Hi all,

After a rocky period we have changed our opening hours. At the moment we are open Wed-Fri 18:00-22:00 (kitchen 18:00-21:00) and Sat/Sun 12:00-22:00 (kitchen 12:00-14:00 and 18:00-21:00).

We will expand on these hours in due time. The nature of our offering (everything homemade and pretty puristic European-style) requires a lot of prepping which alone I can do at the moment. An apprentice is on his way but will take time to train.

Group lunches (from 4 people onward) on weekdays can be arranged.

    Regards,
    Nuhi

I went to nuhi’s deli a couple of days ago, and had a fantastic ham and cheese sandwhich and dessert (cant remember its name…)
    it was lovely
the sauce the sandwhich came with is also worthy of mention!
