Pacific Coffee

Located on the second basement level of Raffles City, Pacific Coffee is a Hong Kong coffee shop chain inspired by Seattle’s coffee culture.

This location is inside the mall and offers seating for about 30 people, with both couches and tables. There is no outside entrance to Pacific Coffee from outside Raffles City and you’ll have to enter the mall to find it. In addition to coffee and tea, Pacific Coffee also sells beans, ground coffee, and even a branded espresso maker for around 2,500 yuan.

As noted by Chengdu Forum member Trudat, Pacific Coffee inside Raffles City offers some of the fastest wi-fi speeds you’ll find in a coffee shop in Chengdu.

An ordinary cup of coffee at Pacific Coffee starts around 18 yuan and goes to up 40+. Snacks and extras are available for prices similar to Starbucks.

I gotta say i like this chain alot, (there is one in Wan Chai HK which is fantastic) and I was impressed with the service at Raffles City. The barista i spoke to seemed to know his stuff too….

I agree. I was really impressed with this store in Hong kong but my experience in Chengdu has been quite different.

The Raffles location always has issues with its wifi and all of the locations never have brewed coffee available even though they advertise it on their menu.

I’d rather go to Costa for the time being.
