Wangfu Garden Residential Complex

The Wangfu Residential Complex, located just off First Ring Road in the Yulin neighborhood, is one of the oldest luxury apartment complexes in Chengdu. Famous for the marble columns that adorn its main gate, the complex features over a dozen buildings housing thousands of residents. Many of Chengdu’s expats are known to live inside this complex and it is something of a landmark within Yulin. Large marble columns adorn the complex’s main gate with Roman sculptures on Fangcao Street.

If you’re looking for an apartment to rent, there is a rental office within the complex and housing companies usually have units inside Wangfu Garden available. Amenities include convenience stores, a pool, and ping pong tables on the ground level of each building.

Rent at Wangfu Garden tends to be higher than surrounding apartments because of the amenities offered and reputation of this complex. Expect rent to range from about 1,500 for a studio up to 4,000+ for 3 and 4-bedroom units.

Address: 成都王府花园,芳草街6号

Address in English: Located on Fangcao Jie between Yongfeng Lu and Yulin Bei Lu in Yulin.

Some of the best apartments you’ll see in Yulin are within this complex, but be prepared to pay the price – places here usually carry a premium, unless you’re lucky to find a good deal. Still cheaper than many of the newer housing complexes in Chengdu like Manhattan, though.

Charlie, I agree with your comments – you more or less get what you pay for. I live in this complex so I am well-placed to comment. 🙂
We wanted to live in this area of town, and it had the only three bedroom two bathroom (our other requirement) places in the area when we were looking. Our fourth apartment in China, this is the most comfortable. We like the balcony off the kitchen, overlooking goings on in the 小区. Another larger sunny balcony off our bedroom is pleasant. The 3rd floor living room looks into greenery, quite private. Plenty of space for guests – 2 spare bedrooms plus a study. It is just five times the size of our place back in Australia.
The pool is open for about two months of the year, and it is jam packed with people doing lessons.
The property management is good, well organised.

Sounds like you have a fantastic apartment! There’s a well-established expat community in that complex, most of them live in very nice places.

The apartments here are relatively cheap. me and my wife are paying 1800 for a 50 sm apartment which is quite a good deal :).
the management is also OK , and the location is absolutely perfect for us.

Just think about the thousands of dogs and cats that are tortured alive for consumption. Google Yulin Dog Meat Festival. This is the worst animal cruelty ever seen and these people are getting away with it.

That is in a completely different region of China and has nothing to do with this. Please stop posting unrelated rants.
